Maria-Zsuzsa de Faykod was born in Hungary of a Swedish father, a physician, and an Austro-Hungarian mother, physics and mathematics teacher. She knew from an early age that sculpture would be her deepest and most complete mode of personal expression. At the age of 16, she had her
first patrons and was fully devoted to her art. She graduated from the Fine
Arts School in Paris in 1978 and she also studied philosophy at La
Sorbonne. She has taken part in many collective or individual exhibitions, mostly as guest of honour, in France and abroad. Several of her sculptures were presented at the De Faykod Gallery in Paris from 1995 to 1998. Digne-les-Bains, Head – Carrara marble
