that instead of representing the character of a person with shapes
and traits, she attempts to find her "mind" and its representation
on the face. As she goes back to the original sources, she
follows a track opposite that of creation

De Faykod innovates
in two different planes: in the language of sculpture and the very
process of creation. Each individual builds, according to her,
his own 'cathedral' that materialises his own face from the global
shape to the smallest particles.
