there is a great choice of excusions within a short drive. You may

historic), archeological sites such as Brassempouy, lakes and rivers, or perhaps a tour of the

Every year, the Festival of Dax which lasts six days with non-stop activities in the city of Dax, takes place traditionally around the 15th of august. Mixing popular events and Spanish or Landaise bullfighting, these jubilant days literally transform the behaviour of this usually calm thermal city which becomes during a week an opened theater for multiple musical, folklore and sporting events. The streets are filled with a crowd made up of locals and visitors. The city receives an estimated average of 600.000 people during this period. For the occasion, it is usual to be dressed in red and white ; reference to a famous practice inspired by the San Fermín festival of Pampelona, in Navarra Spain.
The Festival of Bayonne. From the 1st to
the 5th of august 2007. Everyone dances and sings in the streets. A memorable
